Australian Scientific Pet Food Manufacturer Suffers Late Blow Delaying Scheduled Reopening Until October.
Naval Base, Western Australia – 28th August 2024
Advanced Pet Care of Australia Pty Ltd, known for its commitment to scientific excellence behind their brands, unfortunately were forced to rebuild their Western Australian production facility following a devastating fire on June 19, 2023. The Hon Jackie Jarvis MLC was scheduled to officially reopen the facility in Naval Base at 1:00pm on the 3rd September 2024 which now needs to be delayed until October 2024 due to a late setback, according to National Sales Manager, Scott Shepherd.
“We have been informed this morning, by the electrical engineers rebuilding our equipment, that the control panel fabricated to control the industrial dryer was not compliant to operate all necessary sensors and burners after the final pieces of the dryer arrived at our facility recently,” said Shepherd. “As a team, we are devastated by the news as we were so close to having our brands back in the market and have loyal customers eagerly awaiting them. A new custom built, compliant control panel needs to be fabricated and fitted which will delay our reopening until October this year. All our efforts and attention will be focused on ensuring that the control panel can be fabricated and fitted as soon as possible so we can supply pets here in Australia and around the world with Western Australian farmed and made scientific nutrition.”
Furthermore, Shepherd has expressed a sincere apology on behalf of all staff at Advanced Pet Care of Australia Pty Ltd. “We understand that this delay will cause further inconvenience and frustration to all stakeholders, and we pass on our sincere apologies to all. The delay was unexpected and out of our control but, we will do our best to manage the process and ensure that we can become operational as soon as possible”, says Shepherd.
